LabAIHQ vs Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a non-profit that offers free lessons, videos and practice exercises, with a strong focus on school subjects. If the thing you need is on its shelf, it costs nothing and you can start now.
LabAIHQ is for the thing that is not on the shelf. One request or one document in, a planned course out - modules, narration, worked examples and a self-test - pitched at your level and sized to your time, from a few minutes to 30 hours in 60 modules of 30 minutes. This page says what each is for and when to pick which. It is not a ranking.
LabAIHQ is an AI course generator that builds one planned, full-length training video course from a request or a document, at a chosen level. Khan Academy is a non-profit offering free lessons, videos and practice exercises, largely in school subjects. One is a fixed free library; the other builds to order.
What Khan Academy is for
Khan Academy makes its own lessons: generally short videos paired with practice exercises, grouped into units and courses, largely across school subjects with some early-university and test-preparation material. It is free to use and run as a non-profit.
Practice generally tracks mastery skill by skill, so a learner works through a fixed sequence and shows each step before moving on. The job it suits is a standard subject, learned in a standard order, at no cost.
- Pick Khan Academy when your subject is a school subject it covers.
- Pick Khan Academy when you want free, with practice exercises you can repeat.
- Pick Khan Academy when a fixed sequence that many learners have followed is what you need.
What LabAIHQ is for
LabAIHQ builds a course on the subject you name, from the material you supply, at the level you choose. That covers three things a fixed library is not designed for: a subject outside the library - a scanner protocol, a turbocharger, one chapter of one textbook, a contract you have to sign; your own document as the source; and a pitch chosen per learner, from beginner to expert, with the runtime chosen too.
Every course has worked examples inside its modules and ends with a recall and self-test module. It costs credits: 2.5 per rendered minute, with 100 free on sign-up, which is 40 minutes of course.
- Pick LabAIHQ when the subject is not in a library: your document, your equipment, your syllabus.
- Pick LabAIHQ when the pitch has to be yours - beginner assuming nothing, or expert assuming the literature.
- Pick LabAIHQ when you need a whole subject taught in order, for hours, from one request.
When to pick which
Free and covered beats paid and built. If Khan Academy covers your subject at the level you need, use it. LabAIHQ is for the gaps: the subject it does not carry, the document that is yours, the level and length that have to fit one person.
A parent whose child is stuck on fractions has both options: the free Khan Academy sequence on fractions, or a LabAIHQ course built from a photo of the child's worksheet, pitched gently for a beginner, in the runtime the parent chooses. Neither choice is wrong; they are different jobs.

This page describes what each product is designed to do. It does not rank them, and it makes no claim about the quality of either.

Questions
Is LabAIHQ a Khan Academy alternative?
Only for the subjects Khan Academy does not carry, or the level and material it is not built to fit. For a school subject it covers, Khan Academy is free and built for exactly that. LabAIHQ is for a course built to order: your subject, your document, your level.
What is the difference between LabAIHQ and Khan Academy?
Khan Academy is a fixed library of free lessons and practice, made by Khan Academy, largely in school subjects. LabAIHQ builds one course per request or document, on any subject you name, pitched at one of four levels, from minutes to 30 hours, for credits.
Is LabAIHQ free like Khan Academy?
Partly. Sign-up gives 100 credits, which is 40 minutes of course, with no card. After that, credits come from a plan. Khan Academy is free throughout; it is a non-profit.
Can LabAIHQ help my child with fractions like Khan Academy?
It is designed for that request: a parent can upload a photo of the worksheet, ask for fractions pitched gently for a beginner, and get a course planned around it. Khan Academy already has a free fractions sequence; if that lands, use it. LabAIHQ is for when you want it built around your child's actual work, at your child's pace.
Does LabAIHQ have practice exercises like Khan Academy?
Every LabAIHQ course has worked examples inside its modules and ends with a recall and self-test module. Khan Academy's practice is generally a bank of exercises with mastery tracking. LabAIHQ's practice is inside the course it builds, not an ongoing exercise bank.
Should I use Khan Academy or LabAIHQ?
Check Khan Academy first if your subject is a school subject; it is free. Use LabAIHQ when the subject is not there, the source is your own document, or the level and length have to fit one person.
